I am committed to bringing Indian mythology to life in a modern cinematic style. Through my 21-book series, I aim to connect ancient stories with contemporary readers worldwide.
My Mission
Unlike traditional retellings or condensed adaptations, The Mahabharata Saga follows the epic step by step, preserving its depth, complexity, and interconnected characters across a long-form narrative designed for both new readers and devoted mythology enthusiasts.
The series is released in three distinct editions, each offering a different way to experience the story while maintaining one unified canon:
•Standard Illustrated Edition (Black & White): Focused on immersive storytelling and accessibility.
•Standard Colour Illustrated Edition: Featuring balanced color artwork that enhances emotion and atmosphere.
•Collector’s Illustrated Edition: A cinematic, full-color presentation printed on high-grade paper for art and epic-fiction collectors.
Through this multi-format approach, Surendra Pavuluri aims to present Indian epic storytelling in a form that resonates with contemporary global audiences—combining literary narrative with cinematic vision.
When not writing, he explores storytelling across mediums, including film concepts, visual design, and digital platforms, with a long-term goal of expanding The Mahabharata Saga beyond books into a larger transmedia universe.
